connection to the fifth sensor connector
I normally address new sensors on the fifth sensor connector. Can this fifth connector be used to connect a fifth sensor? If I leave a sensor connected in it, SGC doesn't see it on the dashboard, for example for the PH probe it says "missing", if I put the probe back on the fourth connector it is connected again.
I think in the description for the SGC it states that 5 probes can be connected as standard.

No, the address port this is only to address new sensors/or to change the address as long they don't have an address which us unic to connect to the BUS. To extend sensors use the sensor distributor https://smartgrowcontroller.com/shop/product/sgc-bus-distributor-6-sockets-1445
