Is few weeks I try SGC and is just perfect , am very happy.
Am still use it in Lan Mode I already connect it to the router and in router setting appear as connect so ok!
But after here I try open a port (in my router setting):
1)Port Mapping : service - https://
2)I try also other ports like 80-443)
but nothing after that I get blocked, I try to check in browser https://192.168.... from other device and nothing happened , for sure I make wrong connction, I don't really know about internet ecc.. I just try check around..
I see on SGC web about VPN but I don't know how I can set that !
how I can solve it? for Mac e iOS?
Hi, Thanks alote for reply , my router brand is (FASTGATE) i thinks i have dynamic ip.
I need to call my internet provider and ask for Static ip? or dynamic ip is also ok ?
i Already know which is my ip i just need to fix my router setting, SGC show as port 80 open but if i try to put the ip in the browser from some where else nothing happened...
So when everything's ready i just need to put ip address on browser from any where and i can get access?
Thanks Alote
I need to wait for a static ip when i got it and i solve it i will tell you if i have problems or not.
Thanks
Hi,
Finally i fix it, now is working also remotely, i had problem ask my provider for static ip so i get a service for 4$ monthly they give me a static ip using a OVPN connected to a new router call Mango router(GL-MT300N-V2-c82).
In this way everything work and i get static ip , now you think this kind of service can be sure ? or they can still me information?
You can do things like this with dynamic DNS Services so there should be no need for a static IP.
For now with vpn works great, in near future I will check dns solutions .
Thanks allot
Hi, I'm happy that You like the controller.
I'm sorry for delay, we was on holiday till yesterday.
Now on the problem.
We will need to know what is Your brand of Your Router.
Internal port of the SGC which can be open are 80. For 443 I think Your router need to have also installed some ssl certificate.
Internal IP address of the SGC (If You still don't know it) can be found with Advance IP scanner application, but that is for Windows. You can see that video for alternatives on Mac https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD7KLR8u1EM.
After You configurate the settings You can open the SGC outside with Your external IP address and external port which You assign the the SGC from Router (If You don't understand me later will explain with videos and screenshots).
External IP address You can found it from that site: https://whatismyipaddress.com/
Best Regards

Hi.
I found something about Your router on Youtube how to configurate, but is on italian and I don't understand it 100%. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCt9VgYtkbk
You need to ask Your provider for Static IP address for can get access from outside without change the IP address. Also You need to configure Your router to remember the IP address of Smart Grow Controller.
"So when everything's ready i just need to put ip address on browser from any where and i can get access?" -- Yes with Your Static IP address which the provider will give You and the Port which You will set for external.
